We recognise that good and outstanding practice can be found in many places and contexts and believe that every child in every class deserves the best teacher and great learning every day.

DTSA Secondary TeachMeet
What is a TeachMeet?
A TeachMeet is an organised but informal meeting for teachers to share good practice and practical innovations that have been tried and tested along with personal insights in teaching. TeachMeets are all about CPD for teachers by teachers.
Why do it?
TeachMeets give participants the chance to meet with local colleagues to find out what they are doing and what is having a positive impact in the classroom. Each TeachMeet will have a particular focus and offers a great opportunity for teachers to network and share ideas in a quick and efficient way; whilst in a fun and relaxed setting.
How do I book my place?
You will need to book in advance and can elect to be either an observer or a presenter. If you choose to present you can decide on a 2 minute or 5 minute presentation which demonstrates good practice you’ve delivered or discuss a tool that enhances classroom practice.
All teachers of every subject welcome.
There will be no cost for this event.
Please ensure that all places are booked in advance by email to Nicola Tusa at email@example.com with the following information:
Observer / Presenter
Title of presentation
2 or 5 minutes
Relevant Prezi / Powerpoint Presentations should be sent in advance so that they can be loaded and the session can run seamlessly, many thanks.
Many thanks to all who attended and especially those who presented at the first DTSA Secondary TeachMeet! It was fantastic to see so many there.
Please add 4:00pm at St Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academy on Wednesday 24 February 2016 to your diaries for the next session. The focus will be ‘Strategies for stretching the more able’.
All slides from this afternoon are available to download below:
